I see an event production package, do you do day-of coordination?
With Event Management & Production, day-of coordination is included, but the package is tailored to allow extra time for tackling any last-minute issues that come up with your vendors in the confirmation process. By focusing on the month-of, we can step in before the big weekend to finalize plans, adjust plans, and learn all about exactly how you want the event set-up/styled--basically familiarizing ourselves with everything you’ve been doing to ensure that we can execute your day to perfection! Additionally, the planning tools and unlimited e-mail access that goes along with this package ensures that you always have a professional's advice and opinion only an e-mail away. This service is key, not only to help guide you in your decisions, but to build a relationship of trust with your planner over time.
What is included with wedding design services?
The Full Satchel includes wedding design services. There are three tiers of Design Services that can be added on to the Event Management and Production package. Our design services include a consult over the phone, budget review, creation of a design proposal booklet, design mood board, custom color palette, floor plan creation, and recommendations on vendor selection for design implementation. An in-person design proposal meeting will take place, where we will obtain feedback and alter/update the design for your final approval. My approach to wedding design starts with getting to know you and your personal style, and helping to develop that style. I take your ideas, inspiration, and wants, and turn them into a harmonious design and layout, keeping in mind your budget and venue. Every detail of your wedding contributes to the overall look and tone, from the color palette, table linens, flowers, invitations, and beyond. I work to curate an overall look which is balanced in color, scale, and texture. Keeping these basic design principles in mind ensures a timeless look for your event, no matter what the style.
Can i customize a planning package?
Our packages do allow some opportunity for customizing, because every wedding is different. Typically, the Event Management and Production Package is our minimum level of service, because that allows us the opportunity to know and understand your event, and produce it seamlessly. However, there are several different tiers of wedding design which can be added on to that package, as well as other additions based on your particular needs. Also, if your wedding includes less than 25 people, we will provide a fully customized quote for an elopement.
what is the typical budget of a satchel client?
When discussing budget, we do so in terms of price per person, which is more accurate than an overall number, because a $45,000 wedding for 50 people is totally different than a $45,000 wedding for 250 people. Our clients typically spend $300-$400 dollars/per person. However, with venue rental minimums in New Orleans, it is difficult to work with an overall budget of less than $45,000. If your guest list is particularly small, that may be an exception.
I'm having issues with some language in the contract. Is that negotiable?
The contract is in place to protect both parties, and I am open to hearing your concerns and making any reasonable changes.
I’m having trouble with the planning process. Can I add-on or upgrade my package?
Sometimes it’s difficult to know exactly how much help you need, especially at the beginning of the planning process. We can always revisit the contract and include additional services.
